The revised 1180 BIS (Part 1): specification covers various aspects such as engineering, manufacture, stage testing, assembly, as well as inspection and testing before supply and delivery at site. Typically the sites are 1180 energy efficiency level 2 where there are immersions of mineral oil, natural air 11/0.433 – 0.250 KV Distribution Transformers. These energy efficiency level of the transformer have been meant for outdoor use in power distribution systems with nominal system voltages.

Since after the resolution passed by government for doing IS-1180 mandatory for the distribution transformers from JANUARY 2017 onwards, we have undergone large RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT for achieving the goal of making 1180 BIS Transformer up to and including 2500 KVA distribution transformer of all level of efficiency wiz:- LEVEL-1, LEVEL-2, and LEVEL-3.
